Your campers group assignment, Counselors names will be available online prior to the start of camp.  We will email you when you can view them by logging into your account.

9:00 am – You may drop your camper beginning at 8:15

Early Drop Off Time

Begins at 7:30 am (additional fee & you need to register for this)


2020 Update: ANYONE ENTERING THE BUILDING MUST WEAR A MASK OR FACE SHIELD AT ALL TIMES IN ORDER TO BE ALLOWED IN. AT THAT TIME, A THERMAL TEMPERATURE SCAN USING A NON CONTACT THERMOMETER WILL BE USED TO CHECK THE CAMPERS TEMPERATURE.

 

 

Camp End Of Day Time

 

3:30 for Pioneers camp unless older sibling in another division or are enrolled in late stay pick up.
4:30 pm for other divisions. Do NOT arrive before 4:10 to pick up your camper
 

Late Stay Pickup

 

Ends at 6:15 pm (additional fee & you need to register for this)

Authorized Pickups

 

Only listed parents and authorized pickups are eligible to pick up campers.  Please check your list to see who that is and if you wish to add anyone else.  Have listed persons bring picture identification.  Let them know that they will be asked to provide it.

Your Campers’ First Day Arrival

 

You will be directed as to where to bring your camper to their group. 

 

Have your camper wear their MBDC Camp shirt! Camp shirts are also worn on picture days & special event days which will be announced.

 

Please drop off your camper as quickly as you can so that we can start the camp day.

 

 

What to Wear Every Day

 

Sneakers and Socks every day! No Exceptions.

 

2020 Update: CAMPERS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS UNLESS A PARENT REQUESTS THAT THEY DO.  WE WILL INSTRUCT STAFF TO ONLY HAVE CAMPERS WEAR A MASK YOU IF SAY SO!

 

 

What to Pack Every Day

Camper Daily Checklist

 

Remember to send a bathing suit and towel on EVERY SWIM DAY and have your campers wear sneakers and socks. Pre-school campers should have 1 change of clothes to leave at the camp.

 

 

What NOT Pack Any Day

 

NO CELL PHONES OR ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE EVER ALLOWED AT CAMP! PHONES WILL BE STORED FOR CAMPERS IF NEEDED!

 

 

Money At Camp

 

Pioneers Camp: Money never needed
Adventures, Stars: Explorers & Teens (see below)

 

NOTE: THERE IS A SMALL SNACK BAR LOCATED IN THE LOBBY.  THE MILL BASIN DAY CAMP DOES NOT OWN THE SNACK BAR OR HAS ANY CONTROL OVER HOURS, PRODUCTS OR PRICES.  DURING SNACK TIME, A STAFF MEMBER FROM EACH GROUP IS ASSIGNED TO TAKE A LIST OF ITEMS CAMPERS WISH TO PURCHASE AND THAT STAFF PERSON GOES TO THE SANCK BAR PURCHASES IT AND BRINGS IT TO THE CAMPER ALONG WITH CHANGE IF ANY.

 

SENDING MONEY FOR THE SNACK BAR IS NOT REQUIRED

 

 

LUNCH & SNACK: 

 

2020 Update: Lunch & Snack are NOT being provided by the camp this summer.ALL campers need to bring lunch and snack with them on a daily basis.  Outside food is not allowed to be brought in so there will be no ordering from outside vendors.Lunch should be non-perishable items that do not need to be heated. Lunch boxes are stored in coolers until lunchtime.Water will be served with lunch and snack.  We will You will also receive an MBDC water bottle that you can fill with your campers’ favorite beverage.

Trips, Events & Emails

 

2020 Update: THERE ARE NO TRIPS FOR 2020.  CURRENTLY, THERE ARE NO OUTSIDE VENDORS ALLOWED WHICH ALSO MEANS NO SHOWS AT CAMP.  IF THAT CHANGES WE WILL LET YOU KNOW.

 

IMPORTANT! CHECK YOUR EMAIL DAILY FOR CAMP INFORMATION AND UPDATES.  REMEMBER TO ALSO CHECK YOUR SPAM/JUNK FOLDER.
As time passes, we hope to be allowed to hold intra-camp shows, events and competitions or other items that might be of importance to you and or your camper.
Let us know if your email changes and/or you stop receiving emails for any reason.  We will also be using texts as part of our communication.  Please log into your account to ensure we have your correct cell phone information.
Let us know if you do not want to receive texts.
 

Swimming, Swim Instruction, Suntan Lotion & Activities

 

2020 Update: ALL ACTIVITY FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES WILL CONFORM TO CURRENT DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH GUIDELINES REGARDING NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS, SPACING OF INDIVIDUALS, CONTENT OF PROGRAM AND SANITIZATION.

 

Reminder to print and sign this form signed and returned before your camper can swim:
Swimming Permission Form
Every camper will have a swimming evaluation test INCLUDING CAMPERS IN TEEN QUEST CAMP.
After they have been evaluated prior to entering the pool they will be given a colored bracelet designating their abilities and in what section they will be allowed to swim.

They will be supervised by lifeguards and staff both in and out of the water.

 

2020 Update: Swim instruction: will be provided on a very limited basis to beginners only if they agree to take the swim test. Those who don’t will not be allowed to swim. Campers will only be swimming with campers their own age and swimming ability.  10 campers maximum to a swim area.

 

Apply suntan lotion at home!  We prefer not to apply it at camp and we strongly suggest your camper wear or bring with them a swim shirt.  Send suntan lotion in your camper’s bag if you wish.

 

Here is an example of a swim shirt: Girls Swim Shirt or Boys Swim Shirt

We also suggest you send them along with water shoes, crocs or flip flops. Do not buy expensive ones and MARK EVERYTHING INCLUDING TOWELS WITH YOUR CAMPERS FULL NAME AND GROUP ASSIGNMENT!

 

Pioneers: Pool 4 days per week & Sprinkler Park 1 day per week.
They will not be doing both on the same day. On sprinkler park days, Pioneer campers that are using the sprinkler park will NOT receive swim bands.

Adventures: Pool 5 days per week

 

Stars: Pool 5 days per week

 

Explorers: Pool 5 days per week

 

Teens: Scheduled 5 days per week. 

 

2020 Update: ALL ACTIVITY FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES WILL HAVE NO MORE THAN 10 PARTICIPANTS UNLESS THE SIZE OF THE ACTIVITY SPACE IS LARGE ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE MORE PARTICIPANTS WHILE MAINTAINING AN ADEQUATE DISTANCE.

 

Activities: Every camper has an activity schedule for the entire summer. It is structured to their age, gender and individual camp division.  We schedule both indoor and outdoor activities and try to stagger them as much as possible.

2020 Update: ACTIVITIES WILL BE CLEANED AND SANITIZED AT INTERVALS DURING THE DAY AND AT THE END OF EACH DAY. CAMPERS WILL BE TOLD TO WASH OR SANITIZE THERE HANDS AFTER LEAVING AN ACTIVITY AND THE GROUP COMING INTO THR AREA WILL DO THE SAME BEFORE ENTERING. SOME ACTIVITIES SUCH AS ARTS AND CRAFTS WILL HAVE THE CAMPERS WEAR GLOVES, WHICH THE CAMP WILL PROVIDE.

 

All indoor facilities are climate controlled.
All activities including swimming are about 45 minutes in length.

2020 Update: BAD WEATHER DAYS SUCH AS RAIN WILL NECESSITATE CHANGING
 THE SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY.  AS THERE ARE NO TRIPS, NO CAMPERS WILL BE LEAVING THE BUILDING.  HOWEVER, SINCE WE ARE TAKING VERY FEW CAMPERS THIS SUMMER, AN INDOOR SCHEDULE WILL STILL HAVE ONLY 10 CAMPERS IN AN ACTIVITY.
All activities including swimming are modified when needed to account for the weather. Encourage your camper to participate in ALL the activities.  Don’t worry if your camper isn’t in the mood, we always have staff that can find something to do with them, but remember they will always be with their groups at all times.

 

 

Medical Night

 

Wednesday, JULY 01, 2020: 7:00 PM

 

If you have any medical concerns, medications that need to be administered or supervised please attend on this night only.  You can bring the medications and instructions or physician instruction/clearance with you.
Please note that ALL medical must be approved by our medical staff for your camper to attend.

 

We cannot and will not provide or dispense medication without prior discussion in person with our medical staff.

 

 

Bus Transportation Service

 

2020 Update: BUS SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE IN 2020

 

 

Calling The Camp Office

 

VERY IMPORTANT!  WE CANNOT SPEAK WITH ANYONE NOT GIVING THEIR NAME, RELATION TO A CAMPER AND REASON FOR CALLING!

 

When calling, make sure to let us you know who you are and the name of your camper(s).

 

Please note that the office staff are the ones who can help you in almost ALL cases. Camp directorial staff will not be coming to the phone during the day as they will be busy with camp programming. Calls that are to be returned will be done after the camp day has ended or as soon as it is possible to do so.

 

 

Parking In The Camp Lot In The Evening

 

We urge you to park outside the lot especially in the afternoon, but if you do park in the lot do not arrive until 4:10 at the earliest.
