Winter Office Hours:

September to December: Monday - Friday 11:00 am - 4:00pm

January to June: Monday - Friday 11:00 am - 4:00pm, Saturday 11 - 1

Summer Camp Hours:

Pre-School: 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM* - All Others: 8:45 AM- 4:00 PM

Pre-School Camp: 3:30 PM* Other Camps: 4:00 PM

Parents are requested not to arrive until 15 minutes prior to dismissal time to pick up their children. If you need to pick up at an earlier time, you MUST call the camp office prior to 3:00 PM in order for us to have your child ready. When you arrive, your child(ren) will be waiting for you in the camp office, ready to tell you about what a wonderful day they had.

Please note that only those persons listed as Authorized Pickups will be allowed into the camp facility to pick up campers. Please make sure that anyone you wish to be authorized is listed on your registration form or with the camp office.

*Campers with siblings in older camps or those campers who are taking bus transportation home will be dismissed at 4:15 PM.

* If there are any special needs, please speak with the camp director.

Camp Programs & Fees

Payments & Refunds

Payments:

A minimum deposit of $500 per camper is required at time of enrollment ($200.00 For Early Bird).

Accepted forms of payment are cash personal checks and credit cards (3% surcharge). We also accept union payments such as 1199 & Local 100. We do not accept city vouchers.

Balances:

Are due no later than May 29, 2015* and enrollment is subject to cancellation if not paid by above date. (*does not include early bird enrollment).

Early Bird:

All balances. due on or before May 15, 2015. I understand that all fees that have been made can be forfeited and my enrollment canceled if the balance due is not received by May 15, 2015. All fees are refundable prior to May 15, 2015 if balances are paid up to date. After May 15, 2015, All registered campers are subject to a minimum enrollment fee the equal of a 4 week, 5 day enrollment cost of 2015 MBDC fees.

Sibling Discount:

A $100.00 discount off of the camp fee for each additional child when registering multiple children for a minimum 6 weeks and 5 days.

Refunds:

After June 01, 2015 all enrollment is NON-REFUNDABLE

Full refunds are issued if canceling by June 01, 2015. In order to receive a full refund, all balances must be up to date.

MILL BASIN RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SUSPEND AND/OR EXPEL ANY CHILD FROM THE DAY CAMP PROGRAM. IN SUCH UNFORTUNATE INSTANCES, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

Early Morning Drop Off

Is available beginning each morning from 7:30 - 8:15 AM. Counselors are on hand to supervise light activities prior to the start of the camp day.

Early Morning Drop Off Price:

$320.00 for season or $40.00 per week.

Late P.M. Pick Up Prices & Fees

Is available beginning each evening from 4:30 - 6:15 PM. Counselors are on hand to supervise activities. No swimming will be done during this program. Snacks will be provided.

Late Stay Pick Up Price: $440.00 for season or $55.00 per week.

Please note these programs are not available on a day to day as needed basis.

All Buses Are Air Conditioned!

Morning bus pickup and evening drop off bus service are available in most areas. Each bus will have a matron on board at all times. Yellow school buses and minivans are used for most bus runs. All Pre-School campers will be seat belted in at all times. Campers going into 1st grade and up will not be seat belted. Seat belts are available on every vehicle. Campers are required to be seated at all times and follow the direction of bus staff.

Morning pick up and evening drop off must be at the same location.

Morning pick up and evening drop off times are determined by the transportation provider, based on area and distance from the camp facility. Families enrolled for bus service will be contacted with approximate pick up and drop off times prior to the start of the camp season. Bus service is both door to door and designated corner stop where necessary. If door to door service is not available, such as a dead end street or where construction is ongoing, another location will be chosen and those families will be notified. A more in depth discussion about bus service will be provided at the pre-camp parents meetings.

Transportation is provided by Superior Bus Service and is licensed and insured as a NYC Department of Education provider. There is an additional charge for this service. Same fees apply to one way or two way transportation.

Please note that there is no Early Morning Drop Off or Late Stay Pick Up when choosing to use bus service.

Bus Transportation Price & Fees: $50.00 per week. 4 Week Minimum

Teen & Explorer groups must bring lunch every day. Refrigeration will be provided for lunches. Food that needs to be heated or microwaved may not be sent. If there are any special dietary requirements you might need, please speak to the camp director.

In Explorer and Teen Quest camps, all meals are provided on overnight trips. On most day trips, there are concession stands for purchasing lunches and snacks. Please feel free to call the camp office if you have any questions about a particular trip.
